Get to know our Board of Directors

Orthogone Technologies conducted its inaugural board of directors meeting on February 3rd, 2023, and formally welcomed its new members. These business and technology leaders are dedicated to contributing their diverse experiences and skills to the company’s plan for accelerated and sustainable growth.

We are pleased to welcome Mylène Tassy and Sébastien Leblanc as Board members, along with Jean Champagne, who will serve as Chairman of the Board with the support of Alexandre Raymond, Chief Technology Officer and Luc Leblanc, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Orthogone Technologies.


Jean Champagne – Chairman of the Board of Directors

Mr. Champagne is a senior executive with a background in technology, telecommunications networks and cyber security. He has extensive experience in marketing, business development and negotiation, as well as the ability to leverage strategic alliances. He has held various vice-presidential roles at Nortel, Avestor, and Sagemcom before becoming President at XMedius Solutions. Through a collaborative approach in an international context, he has built strong and lasting relationships with employees and partners throughout his career. He serves on the Agendrix Board of Directors, chairs the Kognitiv Spark Board of Directors, and is a member of Montrium’s strategic advisory committee.

Mylène Tassy – Board of Directors Member

Ms. Tassy gained her experience as Vice President of Sales, Business Development and Marketing in the aerospace and automotive industries. A natural leader who fosters trust by bringing a clear vision to product planning, business strategy, sales, contract management, bidding, and marketing teams. She leads effective and successful teams that are empowered to achieve and exceed their objectives. In terms of product strategies and growth in established, new, and emerging markets, she has extensive knowledge of North American and European markets. A strategic asset to plan Orthogone’s growth. She holds two bachelor’s degrees in engineering from McGill University, one in Mechanical Engineering, and one in Environmental and Agricultural Engineering, as well as an MBA from Cumbria University in the United Kingdom. She sits on two NPO boards and chairs one of them.


Sebastien Leblanc – Board of Directors Member

Mr. Leblanc has both leadership and management experience in his current role as CEO of Octasic and in his previous role as Vice President and General Manager at Ultra Electronics. In the telecommunications industry, he has extensive engineering and business development experience. Octasic, the company he has led since 2020, has established its position as a global leader in programmable silicon, devices and SoC platforms designed for mission-critical 5G and LTE applications. This expertise, combined with his thorough understanding of Orthogone’s services and products, will enable him to make a significant contribution to the company’s growth. He graduated from École Polytechnique de Montréal with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.


Alexandre Raymond – Board of Directors Member

Mr. Raymond is Orthogone Technologies’ Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, he is responsible for the overall vision of Orthogone’s R&D activities, as well as the development of technologies and intellectual property in collaboration with Orthogone’s customers. Mr. Raymond has over 20 years of management and design experience in high technology. Before founding Orthogone Technologies in 2007, he was Director of Engineering in the hardware development group at Harris Corporation, a global communications and information technology company. Mr. Raymond graduated from École Polytechnique de Montréal (Université de Montréal) with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He is a member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).


Luc Leblanc – Board of Directors Member

Luc Leblanc is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Orthogone Technologies. In this role, he is in charge of carrying out the company’s strategic vision within the framework of its growth strategy. Mr. Leblanc has more than 25 years of global management experience in high-tech industries such as business development, sales, and technology. Before founding Orthogone Technologies in 2007, he was Director of Engineering in the software development group at Harris Corporation, a global communications and information technology company. Mr. Leblanc is a member of the Quebec Technology Association (AQT), where he shares his knowledge of management strategies, business development, and best practices in human resources. Mr. Leblanc is a member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. and from the École de Technologie Supérieure.
