About the Aerospace Defence and Security Expo (ADSE) 2026

Presented by the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada, ADSE is one of the few Canadian venues where primes, suppliers and government decision-makers spend two days in the same building. This year runs under the theme Agility: Aligning Industry and Government.

Aerospace and defence programs keep pushing compute further away from the people who maintain it. A payload in low Earth orbit. A robotic arm on lunar infrastructure. An uncrewed platform past the edge of its comms link. A sensor deciding what it is looking at, on a power budget that will not grow.

None of those get a reboot from a technician. They have to be right the first time, and stay right.

What Orthogone will showcase

• Onboard processing and digital payloads. FPGA and SoC architectures for signal processing, digital beamforming and sensor fusion, built on AMD, Altera, NXP and Lattice devices.
• Certifiable embedded software. Flight software developed to NASA and aerospace software assurance standards, including work on human-rated programs.
• Edge AI and inference. Perception and detection models running inside SWaP-constrained platforms rather than in a data centre.
• System integration. Requirements through architecture, board design, firmware and qualification, without handing you off between three vendors.
• FPGA-accelerated architectures that solve the latency, determinism, and SWaP challenges of modern C4ISR, ground-based air defense, ISR aircraft, and autonomous UAV platforms.

A word on Aerospace Defence and Security Expo (ADSE)

ADSE is presented annually by the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada at Tradex in Abbotsford, co-located with the Abbotsford International Airshow.

The two-day program pairs an exhibit hall and a structured B2B meeting program with speaker sessions on defence procurement, uncrewed systems, RCAF modernization and emerging technology. The 2026 speaker list includes the Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force, the Deputy Commander of NORAD, the Secretary of State for Defence Procurement, and executives from across Canada’s aerospace supply chain.
